Jan West is a painter, Mandala artist, muralist, teacher and
professional photographer. She uses paint and photography to explore
archetypal, spiritual and mystical themes.
Jan owns a small business specializing in commercial photography and photographic marketing products. She is a graduate from the College of Wooster, with a liberal arts degree in Political Science and Speech, with graduate studies in Landscape Architecture, at Ohio State University. Jan and her family lives in Cleveland, Ohio and Abiquiu, New Mexico.
Jan speaks for churches, schools, hospitals and special interest groups. She presents workshops on many different topics. Her photographs of the "invisible realms", often spark the observers imagination and creative instincts. Private "orb" photography sessions are available and are lots of fun! Jan likes to say that her goal is to shift existing paradigms, one photograph at a time!

Symbolic art, which is metaphor, is not to be taken literally. It is exactly that symbolic and representative of ideas. Any literal interpretation will always be so much smaller than it's inspiration. When we assign a symbol to a thought, wish, or prayer, it becomes an energetic, high frequency vehicle, that is always shifting and growing. It becomes your own, personal, ever evolving healing tool. Intentions mixed with Highest Consciousness is prayer.
